Over the course of 26 years with the Georgia Tech Living History Program, Marilyn Somers interviewed 1,192 alumni including astronauts, captains of industry, and President Jimmy Carter. Somers was recently honored by the Georgia Historical Records Advisory Council for her unwavering dedication to preserving the history of the Institute.
Although general admission tickets for the tournament matches have sold out, 100 tickets are available for Georgia Tech students with free admission at the door on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid BuzzCard must be displayed in order for students to receive a ticket.
Alumnus and former Georgia Tech staff member Andre Dickens was elected mayor Tuesday. In addition to being a Tech graduate, he was also a Georgia Tech employee from 2010-2016. He has been a member of the Atlanta City Council since 2013.
