Leaders in higher education, government, and venture capital will join Georgia Tech experts Wednesday for an event presented in collaboration with the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce.
Listening to Heartbeats ‘Boosts’ Empathy
Georgia Tech researchers hypothesized that hearing the heartbeat of another person would increase the listener’s empathic connection with that person. In the analysis, they found that hearing auditory heartbeats changed listeners’ perspective and increased their reported ability to 'feel what the other was feeling.'
