Engineers Without Borders Project Installs 100 Clean Cookstoves in Nicaragua
In 2013, a Georgia Tech student visiting the community of Nuevo Amanecer, a small neighborhood in rural Nicaragua, was struck by how damaging the method of cooking with an open fire could be to people’s respiratory health. This led to the beginning of a project to give the people of Nuevo Amanecer clean cookstoves, a project that’s been the work of Georgia Tech’s Engineers Without Borders for almost eight years.

Babcock Is First Tech Transfer to U.S. Space Force
The first Georgia Tech student to transfer into the newly created United States Space Force is Captain Chloe Babcock, who is earning a master’s degree in operations research. She also serves as an instructor for the Institute’s Air Force ROTC detachment.
