Senate negotiators are continuing to work on a deal they believe will help facilitate the nation’s transition to a green economy and make significant tax changes. Tech faculty members say it will help accelerate the adoption of alternative energy, it isn’t just about climate change, and Georgia stands to benefit — but it isn't a done deal yet.
Creating Equitable Outcomes in Education, Employment
Thanks to a grant from the Strada Education Network, Georgia Tech’s Office of Minority Educational Development has been able to expand and scale up its programming for underrepresented students. The grant focuses on enhancing the educational experiences and outcomes of these students.
Interim Leadership Announced for Administration and Finance
Beginning Aug. 13, Mike Shannon, A&F’s vice president and deputy chief business officer, will assume the role of interim executive vice president for A&F and will serve as interim chief business officer. In addition, Jim Fortner will remain A&F’s vice president for Finance and Planning and will assume the role of interim chief financial officer.
