By the end of this decade, offshore wind turbine generators could provide enough energy to power 10 million homes in the United States. A recent study led by Georgia Tech documented the effects of wind turbines in creating potential confusion among ship operators using marine vessel radar as a critical navigation tool.
Le Doux, Losego Appointed to Education Innovation Professorships
The College of Engineering is awarding new professorships to faculty members Joe Le Doux and Mark Losego for their work advancing the College’s education programs. They are receiving the Dean’s Education Innovation Professorship, established earlier this year by Raheem Beyah, dean and Southern Company Chair.
