The recent Georgia Tech study is the first to examine pandemic-era birth data at scale. The research raises questions about medical interventions in pregnancy and whether some decisions by doctors may result in unnecessary preterm deliveries.
Plans Move Forward for Student-Athlete Performance Center
This week, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia approved a plan to construct a state-of-the-art student-athlete performance center. The 115,000-square-foot facility, funded through Athletics Initiative 2020, will be built in the footprint of the current Edge/Rice Center in the northeast corner of Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Tech Receives BOOST Grant for K-12 STEAM Programming
The Building Opportunities in Out-of-School Time (BOOST) grant will support programming offered by the Institute’s Center for Education Integrating Science, Mathematics, and Computing (CEISMC) and enable families from underserved and underrepresented populations to participate in those programs.
