A new award from NASA will give Georgia Tech researchers easier and faster access to research and engineering funds during the next five years to support advances in rotorcraft vertical lift technology. The team, led by Professor Marilyn Smith, is one of six chosen by NASA, and Tech is the only higher education institution selected as a leader.
D.M. Smith Building Approved for Renovation
The D.M. Smith building, home of the School of Public Policy, will soon be getting a makeover. On Feb. 8, the Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia approved a $26 million proposal for renovations to be provided from Institute funds.
Georgia Tech’s HomeLab Improves Usability of Two New At-Home Covid-19 Tests
When performing a Covid-19 test at home, confusing instructions, burdensome packaging, and human error can make the difference between receiving an accurate result and an inaccurate one. Thanks to Georgia Tech’s HomeLab and the Georgia Tech Research Institute, two new at-home Covid-19 tests should allow for a more user-friendly experience.

Get Tested
All students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to participate in weekly testing for Covid-19. Testing sites provide fast and free asymptomatic testing.
Get Vaccinated
Covid-19 vaccines are available to all Georgia Tech students, faculty, and staff, as well as their family members ages 12 and older. Campus vaccine clinics take place on Tuesdays.
