Three days after receiving his master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Max Kolhof headed to the Florida coast to watch a culmination of his campus career. At 5:06 a.m., Kolhof watched a Space-X Dragon cargo rocket launch from Kennedy Space Center, carrying a spacecraft he helped build. The rocket is ferrying two Georgia Tech satellites to the International Space Station, where they will eventually be deployed into low Earth orbit by astronauts.
Mobile App Aims to Improve HIV Awareness, Prevention Among Black Women
With help from the National Institute of Mental Health, collaborators at Georgia Tech, the Emory School of Nursing, and the Morehouse School of Medicine will refine and test “in-the-kNOW,” a mobile app specifically designed for Black women eligible for pre-exposure prophylaxis.
