Last spring, 18 women from Georgia Tech traveled to Sass Mack-Satem, Senegal, to break ground on a school partially funded by donations from the Tech community. Now, they're raising funds and awareness to keep building.
Pilot Project Will Use Campus Wastewater to Grow Vegetables
“The overarching goal is trying to figure out a way to use wastewater nutrients to grow produce in urban areas so we can decentralize vegetable production,” said Yongsheng Chen, who is leading the study.
